I was listening to Liz Kershaw on Radio 6 at lunchtime, and between various rather nice tunes and some madonna she mention that Wenesday coming will be the 25th anniversary of the death of one Mr Ian Curtis of Macclesfield. To that end, they're having a big Joy Division retrospective on the day. Among other things, she mentioned that there are likely to be various covers unearthed, including the JHR-repellotastic Swans version of Love Will Tear Us Apart, which she particularly likes. Apparently there's been a version floating around for the last year or so by someone from Heaven 17 (at least, I think that's what she said). But will they play Paul Young's version?

Love Will Tear Us Apart is one of my most favourite songs ever.

25 years, huh? Seems like yesterday.
