[3am]
hope you had a good night. I really wanted to go but it clashed with college reunion night. Next time hopefully!
Absolutely. We don't know yet when the next one will be, of course.
Did the reunion go well?
In Glasgow, yes, and then an early start tomorrow, so I'm afraid I'm going to miss Neon again.
Lambchop - This corrosion: what's this :)

A slow, quiet, countryish version of This Corrosion. Rather good.

a member of half man half biscuit?

All of them, actually, from their new album "Achtung Bono".
Yay, Jughead! (used to work with Dan, the harp player.)

Stairway to Heaven?
Leonard Fucking Cohen?
Ouelette?

Stairway was the vastly improved (i.e. ruthlessly shortened) version, and Lenny does indeed have a reputation as a Ladies' man, although he protests that it's entirely undeserved.
hahaha! yeah, sounds like an awesome night. Transmission - wow, I'm impressed! I hope the current batch of youngsters/students appreciate such mastery you're exposing them to! :)
Mr Ouelette indeed. Last seen somewhere in rural Ontario doing some DVD production. He was our graphic designer @ ii3 for a while - did some good work there.

Wasn't aware of a ruthless shortened stairway. Lennie does indeed have that rep; was just wondering whether there was any other reason behind the fucking reference...(e.g. Wel Wheaton's reason for referring to "William Fucking Shatner")
(Anonymous)
Somewhere in an old entry, I was musing on the fact that a) the Grauniad had a picture on their front page of a tomato apparently being injected with something (illustrating a story on GM foods) credited to a Daniel Ouellette, b) Jughead had a member called Daniel Ouellette, and c) there was a loooong time ago a regular poster on alt.gothic called Daniel Ouellette.

Wasn't aware of a ruthless shortened stairway.

Homebrew. It might have been Seth's doing. I'm not entirely sure if it exists in a mailable form.

wondering whether there was any other reason behind the fucking reference

I think it was just a reference to him being the wild man of rock. As it were. Blame Seth again, I suspect.

not me. i think it was jim. it's from an old compilation tape of adele's, and apparently it was done 'live' as he was making up the tape...

imagine it bracketed with "oh, not ..." and "...again" :)

Thank you. I refer the honourable member to me record-and-post comment above. Probably not such a bad idea, actually.
